Researchers have many considerations to keep in mind when incorporating AI into their workflow, including bias, misinformation, privacy, and copyright. This session will provide foundational knowledge on the ethics of AI, guiding attendees to make informed and conscientious choices when integrating AI into their work. The presentation will incorporate a discussion of the practical applications of the AI tools Research Rabbit and Copilot. Presenter: Helen Power is the Engineering and Science Librarian at the University of Saskatchewan. She’s also a member of the University Library’s Learning and Curriculum Support division. In her role, she teaches information literacy and research skills to learners at all levels, from high school students to faculty members. In addition to supporting others in their research, she employs these same research skills in her own practice, through both evidence-based librarianship and her scholarly research.

General Information: There is no cost to attend, but registration is required. This webinar is eligible for Formal Activity CPD credit and satisfies the 2024 ethics requirement.
