Event Summary: This course is designed to provide geotechnical engineers with an in depth understanding of the application and interpretation of Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) and Pressuremeter Testing (PMT). Participants will learn the foundational skill of planning site investigations, selecting appropriate in situ testing techniques, and utilizing CPT and PMT data for site characterization, estimation of soil parameters, liquefaction assessments, pile design, and settlement estimation within the context of the latest 5th Edition Canadian Foundation Engineering Manual (CFEM). This course emphasizes real-world case studies with valuable insights from Dr. David Elwood, which participants can implement into their professional practice. This course is designed for geotechnical engineers, civil engineers, engineering technologists, and students involved in site investigations or geotechnical characterization programs.
