Professional Ethics for Engineering

The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science and the Department of Philosophy at the University of Regina are again pleased to present a discussion / seminar focusing on general ethical reasoning and principles applied to cases and issues of interest to professional engineers, and students of engineering. Following a similar format but extending the discussion to last year’s highly successful presentation will be Professors Elliot and Soifer. A brief presentation of basic principles in professional ethics will be followed by discussion of prepared case studies involving, among others, issues such as conflict of interest, confidentiality, and privacy.

People attending will be issued a certificate of attendance from the host.
