Highway 369 Landslide Repair

Event Summary: A fast-moving landslide resulted in the closure of Highway 369 in southeastern Saskatchewan. Thurber Engineering was retained by the Ministry of Highways to assess the landslide, prepare a remedial design, and oversee construction. The presentation goes through a background of the site, Thurber’s assessment of the site and landslide mechanisms, remedial design options and considerations, and final design processes as well as some highlights from construction.
