Asphalt Institutes “Construction Quality Asphalt Pavements”

As part of the 2022 SHCA Convention, the SHCA has partnered with the Asphalt Institute to offer the Asphalt Institute’s new MS-22 “Construction Quality Asphalt Pavements”.

This 2-day workshop will be offered April 6-7, 2022 and will cover all aspects of asphalt pavement construction from materials, design, production, placement, compaction, and quality assurance.

The course content and modules will closely follow the new MS-22 and respective chapter topics. This will provide each student a thorough familiarization of this industry recognized “go-to” manual that will be helpful as a future reference on the job. Various handouts may also be used during the course and will be provided, as well as Asphalt Institute catalogs of courses and publications.

Following the training, registrants wishing to take the certification will have an opportunity to take the virtual exam on April 8, 2022, at the SHCA Convention. SHCA will facilitate the certification exam on April 8, 2022. Exam links will be provided by Asphalt Institute. Registrants can also take their online exam within two (2) weeks of this training through the Asphalt Institute’s Learning Management System to become certified as an Asphalt Institute Paving Inspector.
