Reinstate a Certificate of Authorization
This process only applies to former Certificate of Authorization holders of APEGS.
Reinstatement Process:
Option A. If your Certificate of Authorization (C of A) was revoked due to an ineligible or absent Official Representative and you are reinstating in the current calendar year, then a new Official Representative must be assigned and a full review of the CofA list will be conducted.
- The current Authorized Signing Officer and new Official Representative must complete and sign the CofA Reinstatement form and submit it via our Contact Us page. You are not required to pay any fees.
- You will receive the reinstatement letter and a new certificate at the end of the process.
Option B. If you resigned your Certificate of Authorization (C of A) and are reinstating it in the current calendar year, then you must pay the pro-rated annual fee for the remainder of the year.
- An Official Representative must contact APEGS via our Contact Us page to request the reinstatement.
- APEGS will invoice you the owing amount. The invoice will be sent via email.
- The Official Representative must complete and sign the CofA Reinstatement form and submit it in response to our email. You are not required to pay the 15% Reinstatement fee.
- Once all fees are paid, you will receive your official receipt (with seal) and reinstatement letter.
Option C. If you are reinstating your C of A in the same year it ended and your C of A ended because you did not pay your fees on time, the full annual fee plus the 15% Reinstatement fee must be paid.
- An Official Representative must email APEGS through our Contact Us page to request the reinstatement.
- APEGS will invoice you the owing amount. The invoice will be sent via email.
- The Official Representative must complete and sign the CofA Reinstatement form and submit it in response to our email.
- Once all fees are paid, you will receive your official receipt (with seal), and the reinstatement letter.
Option D. If your Certificate of Authorization (C of A) was previously approved, but you did not activate it by paying the pro-rated fee and it has been less than two years since the original approval, then you can activate it without submitting new application.
- An Official Representative must contact APEGS via our Contact Us page to request the reinstatement.
- APEGS will invoice you the owing amount. The invoice will be sent via email.
- The Official Representative must complete and sign the CofA Reinstatement form and submit it in response to our email. You are not required to pay the 15% Reinstatement fee.
- Once all fees are paid, you will receive your official receipt (with seal), certificate, and digital seal.
Option E. If your Certificate of Authorization ended in a previous year, you must submit a new application, including the application fee.

Option F. If your Certificate of Authorization (C of A) was previously approved, but you did not activate it by paying the pro-rated fee and it has been more than two years, then you must submit a new application.
