August 8th, 2024

Implementation of a future-focused business transformation strategy is underway at APEGS. Part of the transformation includes a new organizational design intended to create capacity and further develop capabilities across all functions and job levels of the association. We are excited to seek candidates for the Manager of Firms position – a position that will move us forward in our continued journey of protecting the public through regulation of the Engineering and Geoscience professions in Saskatchewan.

Join our Professional Standards department, aimed at managing core functions of regulating both individual professionals and also corporate/firm registrants. The Manager of Firms is a member of the Professional Standards management team, with primary responsibility for managing two core regulatory programs at APEGS:

  1. Registration of Firms; and,
  2. Regulation of Firms

Working in close consultation with regulatory colleagues within APEGS, together with peer regulators in other provincial jurisdictions, the Manager of Firms manages the full program cycle – from research to development, to implementation, to ongoing auditing and monitoring of program effectiveness, leading to identification of enhancements – ensuring that both programs reflect leading practices that are aligned and scaled to the size and complexity of the regulatory framework in place for firms practicing in the Province of Saskatchewan.

Early research and framework development to strengthen registration and regulation programs for firms is underway. This position serves as an excellent opportunity to build or diversify your program management expertise and apply thought leadership to program expansion and maturation in line with regulatory trends and emerging practices.
